Biden literally swung the doors to the USA wide open to Communist China in 1999-2000. Until Biden, it was illegal for companies to do biz with the murderous Chicoms. To say Biden "expanded" trade w/ them is a gross understatement.

Nothing Trump has done can come close to comparing to the damage Biden has done to the U.S. economy.

The Chicoms STEAL ~$500,000,000 a year from us in stolen intellectual property alone.

https://law.stanford.edu/2018/04/10/...g-american-ip/

The Chicom regime keeps 1M of its own people in concentration camps, and harvests their organs at will, and aborts their babies to carry out genocide against the Muslim Chinese Uighurs. I though racism & discrimination was bad?

The Chicoms knowlingly sent Covid-19 to us, then hid what they knew about it, and wouldn't allow 3M to ship N-95 masks made in China, back to the USA. They withheld meds and medical equipment from us too.

Minimizing what Biden has done to us, is un-American. Mr. MaGoo is a 1 man wrecking ball to the U.S. economy, health, and future.
If you want to see un-American just look at the White House and everyone who wants to see Trump I enthroned.

As for you incorrect fact:
"By 1984, the United States had become China's third-largest trading partner, and China became America's 14th largest."

"President Bill Clinton in 2000 pushed Congress to approve the U.S.-China trade agreement and China's accession to the WTO"

46 Republic & 37 Democrat Senators voted to approve the agreement, 9D & 5R opposed it. In Congress 71D & 166R Congressmen approved it but 138D & 58R opposed it.
Ref: https://justfacts.votesmart.org/bill...ns-act-of-2000

So it looks like the party of Team Trump was all onboard with the Trade agreement and its your boy that is reaping the rewards while Americans have suffered.

As for the rest of your ranting the discussion is on Trade feel free to start a post on Human Rights violations. As for the rest of the Trump talking points that you are spitting out throw them on the manure pile with the rest of the accusations, innuendo's & lies.

China is a giant factory. All it is designed to do is produce. It pride is in new innovations and able to sell those things. I am not pro communism - but some of their gadgets are awesome. The batt or electric powered small vehicles, like mopeds or tiny cars for cheap transport. What they produce is one thing - human freedom is another. People are just components. We have our freedom, but corporations are the same everywhere.

Yes, back in the day I believe you did see certain conditions, but things are constantly changing.

I am doubtful this is even going to happen. There is always an excuse as to why it doesn't. It was originally supposed to happen in 2008, then 2016, now 2028? Seven years is a long time to come up with new excuses.

In the long run, by the way, China is finished. Its great advantage of population is disappearing with the demographic disaster of the effects of the one-child policy. By current trends, by 2100, China will have half the population it has now, whereas America, due to immigration, will have 450 million or so people. The great advantage of better than 4 to 1 numbers will be less about 2 to 1.

America will keep getting stronger as China implodes.
Good points and totally correct that the Chinese economy is about to implode with its demographic time bomb. Japan and italy have the same problem.

Counted per capita, China still has a way to go. The country has 1.3-1.4 billion, though that number is fixing to decline soon, should peak later this decade.

That's later than the following predictions made in 2014 and 2015:
China to become largest economy by 2024
China's GDP is expected to surpass the US' in 2026

There were also tons of predictions in the 80s and 90s claiming that Japan would overtake the US in the 00s.
JAPAN MAY STILL SURPASS U.S. TO BECOME LEADING ECONOMIC POWER BY THE YEAR 2000

Yes, both of you are looking at the situation from the correct angle. China will grow old before it gets wealthy. Much is said in the news about Chinese millionaires and billionaires but those people are only a very tiny fraction of it's 1.4 billion population. China rose economically by becoming the world's primary manufacturer. That won't last as their population rapidly ages and declines. Manufacturing is already looking for greener pastures (cheaper labor) and China's demographic situation is only going to get worse.

Despite what I described above, now is no time for the US and other western nations to get complacent. Now is the time to tighten the screws on China.

China is doomed. And there is nothing that can be done.
The one child policy has doomed them. The population decline will begin very quickly and then will accelerate. China will become a nation filled with never married, childless, orphan men and it will cost them dearly.
There are hundreds of articles on this subject, so I will leave it up to interested parties to pick one.
