And yes-the numbers aren't great. Only about 1/4 of the distributed doses have been administered nationwide. Of the available doses, 36% have been administered in Texas, vs 23 in California. Seems like Californians don't like shots.

California is also a liberal paradise where its very difficult for middle class people to survive while the liberal elites live behind their gated communities while illegal aliens and the Section 8 crowd have first class tickets the gravy train. Meanwhile with a middle class salary you can hardly afford anything. People love to trash red America but take someone with the same job in California vs Louisiana and see who lives better with a larger house, a nicer car, more disposable income, etc. Large swaths of Los Angeles and San Francisco resembles Third World cities with thousands of homeless people living on the streets in tents like Skid Row. California's cities are overrun with drugs, crime and illegal immigration.
There were more people vaccinated USA than Israel. Using percents in this case is misleading. Ohio has more people than Israel. Of all the USA vaccines were just in Ohio, then Ohio would have 30% vaccinated already.
Having said that - our (USA) vaccination plan will accelerate. No matter how fast it goes - it will never, ever, administer 300 million shots before Israel administers 8 million. That's a stupid comparison, frankly.

Israel has a population of about 8 million spread across 8,550 sq miles. California has a population of 40 million, spread over 164,000 sq miles.
As lates as September, Trump continued to promise 100 million does by year end - maybe more. He also said the military would be facilitating.
