He's using old data. They're down 28K and the rest of the country is up. NYC is a big problem. Covid is whack-a-mole since people can still migrate and spread the disease under soft lockdowns.

A lone paddleboarder? You've got to be kidding. There's a photo in today's L.A. Times of lots of people walking on the pier, some grouped together, talking.
