Some procedures are not covered by the, like cosmetic surgery. Although in some cases whereby a cosmetic surgery is deemed medically necessary by a physician, it can be covered. For example, a panniculectomy (tummy tuck) or a breast reduction. So it depends.
In some cases where a person is severely injured, like in a fire, cosmetic surgery is often necessary.

Simply, if we let all the incurable patients or patients that require expensive treatments die, we can immediately achieve longer average life and lower cost.
The real measurement is the terminal illness survival rate, particularly if Canada doesn’t use any US invented medical treatments.

In the Canadian system, the government decides who gets to live and who is to die. That in itself is evil.
Cancer is not the only illness. And no, the government does NOT decide who lives or dies. Doctors deliver what they feel is best medically. No bureaucrat, like insurance companies in the USA and their case workers, get into the middle of that.
