Really it won't happen. Our military leaders have said no. But Trump is and probably will continue to call on the proud boys and other racist criminals to incite violence. If you are for martial law then you are for ending our constitution and submitting to the will of the police state.

I'll be so glad when he is finally in our rearview mirror. I will not miss his gaslighting, blowhard ways and threats of siccing the military on anybody who disagrees with him. What a disgrace to this country.

Our 'military leaders' are not in the position to even say YES or NO...if the president orders it, they are obligated to comply with orders.
I doubt Trump will order martial law, mainly because it would halt all commerce once that took effect, (trump would never do that and risk loosing money).

Trump has probably considered the possibility of martial law, but I think he knows in the end it just can't happen. But he likes the drama swirling around now and likes still to be the center of attention.
Soon, very soon he won't be at the center of national drama anymore.

If the order to use nukes presented a lawful order, yes they would be obligated to follow it. Otherwise, they'd be fired (and criminally charged for refusing to follow a lawful order) and we'd keep going down the chain until we found someone who would push the button.
Similarly, a lawful order to implement martial law (and it's not for the military to determine what is lawful generally speaking) has to be followed.

Uh, actually, YES, they would be required to follow orders, the POTUS is the CIC.
In fact, Trump is the ONLY person who can give that order, military generals and others have no say in that.

Remember a couple of months ago when the media said Trump defied scientists by promising a vaccine before the year was out. The experts said we wouldn’t have a vaccine until March or April and mass vaccinations would happen until the summer of 2021. Oh wait, we have a vaccine...on to the next lie!
