Leaders in the House of Representatives announced on Friday a rules package for the 117th Congress that includes a proposal to use “gender-inclusive language” and eliminate gendered terms such as “‘father, mother, son, daughter,” and more. They lost their mind and want us to go same way...

Why not just get rid of language and let the political elite do what they want, which is to make everybody into soylent green?

They're not proposing to remove them from the English language or even from government documents or communications. They're proposing to use non-gender specific language in House bylaws. Can you think of a situation where, say, "mother" or "father" would be more applicable than "parent or legal guardian" when it comes to House rules? What situation could they ever have that was specific to daughters rather than sons, or mothers rather than fathers, or vice versa? It just makes more sense to use non-gendered words like "grandparents" rather than being gender-specific. If there's some gendered language left over from when the legislature was all male, it should obviously be updated to cover everyone.

This is a tempest in a teapot.

No. What it is is empty virtue signaling to the SJWs who voted for the Dems. They're not going to get anything real as the Wall St./Big Tech cabal resumes control over our lives - so consider this a consolation prize.


But at least there will be no more Mid East Peace deals...
