Yeah, maybe they will start to wish they would have paid for a wall to be built!Their poor are flooding our borders, thus the big hit for cases/deaths in the border states, and they are whining about healthy Americans who can pay their own way and not be a burden to the taxpayers of Mexico. Oh, boo-hoo, poor Mexico.

Seriously.

OTOH, it sounds like a whole lotta nothin' (from the linked article):

"...almost 50,000 arrived at Mexico City’s airport, according to official figures, less than half the number of U.S. visitors who arrived in November last year."

"Los Cabos had nearly 100,000 Americans arrive in November, while Cancun had 236,000 U.S. visitors, only 18% fewer than in 2019."

So, in the story they recorded one whole person, a British citizen, complaining about people visiting Mexico. The Mexican person said they need more tourists. The number visiting Mexico City compared to last year is cut by more than half.

In 2019, Mexico made roughly $10.5 billion in tourism in 2019 from Americans alone.

Do they just create titles figuring 90% of people won’t even read the story? I keep seeing this story every year for at least a decade of how Mexico is tired of Americans coming in and how Mexicans don’t want to come to the U.S. anymore.

Is this just some liberal fantasy, because that’s not what I’m seeing either on the ground or in the statistics.

Let’s be real here. Mexicans, especially Mexican government, love President Franklin on that dollar bill.

If Mexico is tired of Americans of coming in, then should impose visa requirements for Americans instead of accepting US Passport only (or sometimes your name written on a piece of napkin). I guarantee that will cut down American tourists more than half

Mexican visitors are required documents from US (ie visa or BCC) to enter the US

Just curious, why do americans come to Mexico? I wouldn't come Mexico unless I have a very relevant reason to go to this country. In my case, I do have, otherwise I wouldn't come. Is because of tourism? to receive a treatment because of covid-19? they are bored?

They are probably not too happy with the Canadian chick and her Scottish bf who went to MX to hook up and ended up getting covid.
