The question is why people feel it's appropriate to blame China just because they had the bad luck to have it start there.
The only blame should be for not coming clean about it - both with the people and the world - but then again, that's just what Donald Trump did, to lie about it and downplay it.

Bad luck? You can't be serious. It came from their lab. That is not bad luck!
Because they sat on it and didn't do enough to snuff it when they had a chance. They were more concerned about it not making them look bad. And that's the least culpable scenario. There's much tin foil hattery that goes beyond that.

China knows that absolutely nothing will happen. Hundreds of thousands of American's died. Nothing will happen.
You are right, NOTHING will happen, even if China came out and admitted involvement!
Ultimately, such a revelation would REQUIRE a military response from the US...if we ever were in a state of war with China, NO Chinese goods could be legally sold in the US, and NO US goods could be sold in China...this would destroy the global economy in about 3 days!
