Well none of that happened the last time the Dems were in charge (Obama era).
The present they gave us was Obamacare.

Jon Ossoff declared victory this morning although the Ossoff-Perdue race isn't officially called. Perdue hasn't conceded.

I'd like to see the vote certified before claiming that Democrats won both seats. They might recanvass and find that some precinct fat fingered an entry somewhere. I'm by no means alleging fraud (that's a red herring). I'm just saying that let GA double and triple check everything so we know with a certainty.

As for what it means for the Senate? It likely means Biden can get the cabinet he wants, within reason. The Betsy DeVos type appointees won't fly. But, any reasonable appointee should be passed without much problem.

What we will NOT see is a far left agenda. Warnock is up again in two years (if I recall) and so is Kelly in AZ. Manchin is in a deep red state and survives his elections because he is a moderate. The idea that they'll pass some laws to take away your guns won't happen. Hell, that didn't happen in 2009 when Democrats had a filibuster proof majority in the Senate.

A big boon should be Biden's ability to replace a SCOTUS seat if someone retires. I think Breyer might. But with a 50-50 Senate, we won't be seeing court packing (funny how people stopped talking about that so early) or DC and PR being made into states to pack the Senate.

Yeah, I'm not counting my chickens before they hatch. I know better.

This is one of the greatest days in American history

Just hours after dems & independents have taken over government and stripped the far-right of all their power, sending Trump home and McConnell into Minority rule, we will now get to enjoy watching these republican idiots in congress humiliate themselves as they desperately try to overthrow democracy and defend the orange turd. I would not be surprised if Pence is a no show because eh doesn't have the stones to betray democracy and "fight" for Trump, even though constitutionally there's nothing he can do.

Enjoy this moment, I's & D's. The Republicans are powerless. The blue wave finally hit shore last night.

It really is epic and just how hard Trump destroyed the Republican party. Going out and losing Georgia of all states to finish things off. Yet another big bankruptcy for Trump. Tis a fitting ending to a career filled with failing and bankruptcies!

Here's hoping that the blue wave does not take the US straight to hell?

Iceberg's are white. The Blue Wave is the ocean overflowing the decks as the ship is sinking.
You'll drown along with everyone else.
