I do agree there are extremists on both sides. I don't agree that if Trump won that leftists would have attempted a coup d'etat. Loud protests, maybe a few cars burned. The left didn't try a coup in 2016, so why would they in 2020?
This right wing coup attempt makes Antifa's deeds look like petty misdemeanors by comparison.

Great question. It's obvious at least some in this crowd had really bad intentions outside of simply causing chaos. Molotov cocktails, bombs, full military gear and zip tie handcuffs say they were there for a real coup which involved taking hostages.

Okay, I'll grant you large riots in the streets in multiple cities. But none of that rises to the level of an apparently planned in advance invasion and insurrection of Congress, in an attempt to thwart the transfer of power.
this seditious riot was fueled by the false belief that the election was fraudulent. this belief is the direct results of trump's bogus claims.
there is nothing to support the belief the same thing would have happened if biden had lost. this stupidity is on trump alone.
I think that if Trump had won the left would have believed that the election was fraudulent.
I certainly would have thought it to be fraudulent. Of course I would not have donned tactical gear and stormed the Capitol, but some of the most extreme elements of the left may have.
