I understand their frustration but I'm going to wait until things settle down before drawing any final conclusions.
Yeah. Let all the facts get out.
So far, I think its a good thing. But I don't know if there was damage.
Now if the story is correct that the police officer fired through a door or window and killed or seriously wounded an unarmed woman, he should be suspended and charged with attempted murder.
Other: I don't care. I'm not up there, it's not my offices. Just as in Thor: Ragnarok, "Asgard isn't place it's a people" Congress isn't a building. Let them have their fun, get the business done elsewhere, over Zoom, whatever, when these morons get tired, it'll be easier to take them to prison. Or just let them go like the protestors actually damaging things over the summer. We'll move on.
I'm disgusted with our President that encouraged and incited this violence at our US Capitol. I'm disgusted with Republican lawmakers that empowered him. I'm disgusted with Trump supporters that still stand behind this man. We look like a third world country.
It is a sad day for our country. Trump has gaslighted millions of Americans into believing the election was stolen from him.
I'm also disgusted by the false equivalence Trump supporters make to other protests over the summer. Tear gas launched into peaceful protesters just so Trump could hold up an upside down Bible for a photo-op. But, Pro Trump protesters breach the US Capitol without a single rubber bullet fired. How come we are not surprised?
And now we have Republican lawmakers suddenly asking for de-escalation after they've seen Trump stoke this sort of behavior for the past four years. I really hope Republican voters going forward think twice about what they empowered over the last four years and possibly for a generation.
It didn't disgust you to see innocent business owners watching their entire life's work burn to the ground, for nothing more than the amusement of a bunch of animals?
I see it as no worse than the summer of love protests from last year.
I find it confusing the same people supporting the protests last year are all of a sudden against this protest.
Out in the streets not inside the capitol where they were conducting our constitutional process. No this is domestic terrorism. This is not about human rights and equality- this is one sorry arse man crying he lost and the manchild can’t handle it! His trumpets are delusional thinking this would change an outcome. Well, it will in their lives, when have to kiss Bubba every night.
In the past I would have strongly disapproved, but by current standards, it was a mostly peaceful protest, and mostly peaceful protests are OK nowadays.
