Really. But there are almost no liberals left in the Democratic Party. They are progressives. They don't believe in the Constitution.

After 4 years of undermining a president including an impeachment attempt based on blatant lies, and then the unprecedented mass mailing of ballots that only invites voting irregularities, we should all be surprised? Cause and effect, a lot of people were predicting something like this. Whether there was actually any widespread fraud I don't know, but the Dems hardly have a claim of taking a higher ground.

The thread title is about the Capitol. You do not break into the Capitol period. Deflecting to riots in Portland is beside the point. As far as I know the last time the Capitol was breached was by the British during the War of 1812. Not even during the Civil War. How can anyone respond other than: Disgusted or Sad?

There are protests, and there is what happened today. The reason of today was to certify the votes, no matter which way they went. However, the extreme far right trumpers just screwed that up. There were members of the senate who were going to protest state by state as they deemed necessary, yet, now they cannot happen, at this point in time.

Its one thing to protest... but to storm the Capitol?

Bombs being found around DC?

Its crazy how the same people mad about a Target being burned down have no issue with trying to stop an election because they can’t handle losing.

Here is the thing, freedom requires responsibility. If we can't be responsible or accountable for our actions then we don't deserve it point blank.
Taking away freedom of speech is pure Stalin. A lot of the left mistakenly believe they are moderate. You sure seem like one of those deluded leftists.

Yep, sure did. But I didn't see Trump burning cities, declaring cities sovereign nations, killing kids, burning homes, threatening people in restaurants, etc, etc, ad nauseam.

Now you're on the business end of that violence. One good turn deserves another. Doesn't feel so great, does it? Now you know how the rest of us felt last summer... as if you gave a damn.

Why do Americans blame anyone but the people who do the damage.

It is the same as the folks who vandalized and destroyed cities this summer -- it isn't their fault, it is the fault of those that are racist.

Today wasn't the fault of the idiots who listened to Trump, marched down to the Capitol......it is the media, the courts, the politicians.

NO it was their fault -- and Trump has to own that he encouraged that bad behavior --- by telling them to do it and by refusing to condemn their violence and vandalism.
