Y'all are nuts. He didn't do ANYTHING yesterday. He didn't call for violence.
Some of his supporters engaged in mostly peaceful protests at the Capitol. Big deal. It was nothing compared to what protesters did in connection with the Kavanaugh hearings or what BLM protesters did this summer in DC (and elsewhere for that matter).
Yeah insurrection is nothing more than peaceful protesting give those good ol boys a medal
The cabinet and Pence and congress could agree on impeachment ... THEN ...
I would send a lawyer to Trump and tell him it has been agreed on to impeach him and remove him from office immediately UNLESS .... he kept his mouth shut and quietly left office on the 20th. If he could do that much, he could leave office just like every other president. OTHERWISE ... if he made one derogatory comment about anyone, if he so much as breathed or tweeted one word about a rigged or otherwise stolen election, he would be impeached and removed from office immediately and go down in history as such.

Even Jerome Marcus, the campaign's attorney in PA, has filed a motion to be removed as the attorney. Marcus said:
"...“the client has used the lawyer’s services to perpetrate a crime and the client insists upon taking action that the lawyer considers repugnant and with which the lawyer has a fundamental disagreement...I believe that the filing of that and other cases was used by President Trump yesterday to incite people to violence. I refer specifically to his urging people to come to Washington for a 'wild' protest...I want absolutely no part of that. Therefore I have asked the court to allow me to withdraw as counsel."

Why is this idiot's opinion supposed to matter to anyone?

“Fingers on the nukes” is a code to authorize a nuclear attack.
This assumes the Pentagon would act on an out of the blue authorization.
Someone would have to decide if the order is unlawful. That would take a chain of command decision. Recent Trump moves into the Pentagon and DoD raised some eyebrows. So I'd say yes it is a concern.
This is a tough one. On one hand, doing so would cause irreparable harm to the country and make any small chance of cooling political tensions down impossible for a very long time. On the other hand, Trump still has the nuclear codes.
Codes are nothing more than authorizing a nuclear attack.
Requires people to choose to follow an out of the blue order.
