The Republicans betrayed their voters. So called Conservative media backstabbed their best customers. There is no future to look forward to. No chance of winning anything in the future. No hope that things will be better. It is simply a depressing existence.

We will never be in a world without lockdowns and without masks. Virus will soon mutate and vaccines will not be able to constantly keep up. The life we once knew is over. Large gatherings and religious freedom is a thing of the past.

Fiscally our country is screwed. The band aids will inevitably come off and it will become clear that we wont be able to dig ourselves out of the debt without massive and painful cuts. Even worse riots will happen when people realize just how screwed we are as a country.

Amazing how well things were going just 12 months ago. Even if Trump lost or won, the pandemic that has no chance of ever ending just makes life so depressing and not really worth living anymore. It feels like living in a dystopic world.

This year I have lost so many things that I used to love and enjoy. Now I just sit and wait for the next terrible thing that going to happen.
#1. You have no reason to be confident that the virus will mutate into something that can't be treated by an existing vaccine.

#2. If it does mutate, there's a good chance the vaccine will help against the mutated virus, which is what often happens with mutant flu viruses each year. I've read that covid is supposed to mutate more slowly than the flu too..

#3. We require lockdowns. We need to get used to having lockdowns during emergencies, temporarily. Everyone who is entirely opposed to them is some kind of irrational fanatic. They're especially sensible now, since we're so close to the elderly getting vaccines.

#4. The pandemic will inevitably end. Viruses never last forever in any extreme form. Worst case scenario, it'll become a more harmful version of the flu that keeps mutating...but it'll probably mutate into some weaker form in order to produce fewer symptoms and spread better.

The OP has the wrong attitude. Live in a red state? The power to resist properly will rest with the states. States can nullify federal laws, they can even go as far as secession to protect the rights of their citizens. Socialist enemies will soon control the national government......now we use state power to resist them. Our confederate ancestors did this and made them pay dearly for their desire to rule over us. Today’s socialists do not have the backbone that the Yankees of old did. We can beat them by using state power to ignore their new policies....we won’t need the 4 year bloody war to achieve our goals. Vote for hard nosed conservatives in your state house. We can make the socialist federal government weak and impotent. There is nothing they can do short of starting a civil war to stop this tactic. Leftists are weak people and they certainly have no stomach for real conflict.

Turn the hate and despair into a just and effective resistance. Make their control of the federal government mean nothing in the states they do not control......de facto independence.

I'm not a liberal. I'm an authoritarian globalist...but I share some of the same goals as liberals. I'm less interested in financial equality and that sort of thing and more interested in the bigger, more world-spanning sorts of chances we could be making.

I don't know enough about economics to understand whether Republicans or Democrats have the better strategy.

I do know you'll inevitably want to follow my goals though. It's just a matter of time, and you probably lump my goals in with those of the liberals.

We WILL need to be concerned about global warming eventually. We WILL need to establish some kind of system of security allowing for temporary powerful government control in case of pandemics, and when the worse pandemics than the coronavirus come, they'll have to be given more power than they have now. You WILL need concern yourself with problems of the future eventually, and we're going to need some kind of powerful central government to deal with those threats, and we will require lots of international cooperation. We will need lots of funding of international programs to shut down pandemics. We will need to work WITH China to do this. We will need to work with other countries to stop climate change.

I don't need the backbone of our ancestors. I've got education on my side. It's only a matter of time before more people join me.

If your looking for anything great in the office, stop stressing. It's never gonna happen. It was a crapshow last time, it might be boring again this time, and 2021 may top 2020 in all kinds of craziness, but as I said, so long as I can see people again and enjoy whatever sanity I have left. I can care less about what red or blue do. Just worry about yourself and the people closest to you.
Great post. DC is a cesspool no matter who is in charge. The less they do there the better off we are.

Perhaps your family or friends will care when you do that, but no one else will.

I'm a Republican who will always be Republican and conservative and I will always fight for my values through legal political means.

I do worry specifically for my community as a result of this election because of the Democrats' refusal to support domestic energy production and Biden's opposition to oil and gas which our economy is dependent on. This is the kind of real life policy issues that are loss when the media just wants us to obsess over race and make everything about race.

And we shouldn't' have to change our entire economy just because it offends the liberal sensibilities of voters in California and New York. The Green New Deal's promised jobs will NOT pay as much as our oil and gas jobs. Just like the "new jobs" that want to provide West Virginia, if that even happens, will never pay as well as coal mining. My next vehicle is going to be a Chevy Silverado truck and I shouldn't have to change my lifestyle just because liberals don't like it. I'm also concerned about religious freedom and being pro life though at least there is now a conservative majority on the Supreme Court and I still PRAY that Roe vs Wade is repealed. If that happens then abortion will at least be ended in my state.

I'm right there with you. They will continue this doom and gloom along with their pawns in the MEDIA, Education, Tech, Government, Entertainment and Social Media. They own it all, Free America is no more.

Big Government rules. The Royals are back.

For much of late November and most of December I stayed away from CD, didn't check or watch the news I mean the world could have been at war and I didn't know and my state of mind became much better and happier, but because I care I started looking at the news and posting again and frustration and stress is back again.
