You don't remember how excited Democrats were about Palin in 2008? They were ecstatic, they made a really big deal out of a woman as a VP candidate, it was celebrated across the U.S.
As for Biden, yaay, another old white male for President, what's the celebration about again.
I'd be happy for Harris if she weren't such an atrocious choice, proven to be very unpopular with the Democratic base, yet chosen for the number of marginalized groups she's able to represent. Even though she's as dull as dirt, Klobuchar would have been a better candidate. But I forgot, she's was the wrong race, that's not racism though.
In that Biden will only be the second Catholic president and presumably the second president with Irish blood. Harris of course will be the first woman VP, first Black VP, first Asian VP, and second person of color to hold either office.
