What do you call the massive assaults on police, the trashing and burning of police stations, churches, private businesses, city halls, private residences of elected officials etc., where hundreds if not thousands of people were assaulted and even murdered, all in just the past summer?
If I wanted a perfect example of how Democrats are allowed to get away with such behavior, you have provided it. By describing Trump supporters' attack on the Capitol as "the FIRST skirmish", and ignoring the countless (and far worse) attacks on American government and society that came less than a year before.

That's not true. He said "cleansing the movement", not the people. Both are not the same my friend. You should question sources that purposely try to deceive you this way. It's insulting to intelligence of their audience.

Those people were not trying to overthrow the government. The MAGA capitol-stormers were.

OK, what part of the "movement" needs to be "cleansed"?
Now, given the amount of QAnon stuff seen in the Capitol, they need to be dealt with (though merely following conspiracies on the internet isn't a crime). Same goes for the KKK, though to claim association with any party that "accepts" their support is false. Proud Boys, if they've taken to instigating lawlessness, them too.
Frankly, ANY group that instigates lawlessness needs to be dealt with. That includes Antifa and BLM and whatever group claims credit for the Seattle CHOP zone.
