John Danforth said supporting Hawley was “the worst mistake I ever made in my life”.
Danforth (former MO Senator) is the most influential and respected member of the Missouri Republican Party. Hawley is toast and I bet he feels the same way about the mistake he made the other night.
No, it's not hypocritical based on what you've stated. If what you've said is true, that the publisher is owned by CBS and CBS is left-learning, then how is it hypocritical for them to cancel publishing a book of a person whose actions are right-leaning and against what they believe in?
It's the standard MAGA argument. If you don't agree with their thinking you're "left".
It is what it is.
The true moral of the story is "words have consequences". MAGA, again plays the victim.
Simon and Shuster is owned by CBS a media company. They are left leaning. If you can’t understand the hypocrisy of a media conglomerate applying different rules to different voices because you don’t like them, then there is no hope for you.
Or if Trump won't pay to publish it, Hawley can self-publish and sell his book to Trump supporters, about 75 million people.
P.S. Most of those 74 million don’t read. Maybe Hawley “wrote” it for people with a 6th grade reading level. Don’t care.
The rats are abandoning ship.
