I don't think North Korea's nuclear development program is a partisan issue. Both sides can agree we don't want it to continue. At the time, Trump supporters were claiming victory with the apparent denuclearization of North Korea after the Trump/Kim Summit. Sadly, it doesn't appear that happened.
Looks like Kim was just giving Trump a lot of lip service for the last 2.5 years. Not to anyone's surprise, they continued developing weapons with little-to-no scrutiny whatsoever since the Trump/Kim Summit.
Apparently all it took was love letters to Trump to keep him off his back long enough to continue work on this. I know many of us said it back in 2018 that this was just a photo-op for Trump and credibility for Kim. Looks like Kim got even more out of the deal. Time.
Trump kicked the can on North Korea. Just like Obama. Just like Bush. The difference? Other presidents have applied pressure the whole time. Trump shook his hand and let Kim do what he wanted for the last 4 years.
