Does anyone else feel that Twitter, Google, etc are poking the hornet's nest right now?
Massive understatement if ever there was one.

"If you disagree with me, shut up!!" Never a good message.

I think inciting insurrection against your own government is more than a disagreement.

We had our friends on the left ACTUALLY doing that for over a year and you supported it.....but you hypocrisy is noted.

You support violent riots for a year then clutch your pearls about a peaceful protest....with the exception of the security who fired on unarmed protesters. I guess you aren't happy unless you see protesters burning buildings down with people inside them right? Perhaps then they'd have their logo written in the middle of streets across the country.

+1

This same poster told me yesterday that CHAZ was just about summer cook-outs and other family friendly stuff like that. Hypocritical? Delusional? Both?

I'm against any kind of violent rioting and looting. And I don't recall Dems calling on those people to do the things they did, and then calling them patriots and telling them they loved them afterward. I also don't recall the Dems inciting insurrection against our country.

I think we won’t immediately know if big tech’s deplatforming of the president and domestic terrorists actually works. If it indeed stops or significantly slows the spread of radicalizing content, and it hurts the terrorists’ ability to organize, we’ll know after a few days. But not immediately.

And whether they are upset or not about it, I don’t care. If it gets them out of the mainstream then it won’t matter much what they think.

The person who YOU voted for to be vice president literally helped pay to bail them out of jail so they could continue doing it. They encouraged ACTUAL insurrection, not just a peaceful protest at the capital that people like you laughably are trying to call an insurrection.

Anyone else worried about this or am is being a little over-dramatic?
Over dramatic. It isn't hard to socialize online. There are tons of platforms to choose from. I keep saying that there is nothing stopping someone from starting their own social media company. Twitter and Face book aren't the end all be all.

There are actually talks of breaking Facebook ad Google up to foster more competition.

Sometimes, you have to use measures you wouldn't ordinarily use - like grounding all the US planes on 9/11, declaring curfews in hurricane ravaged areas, etc.

That's what they're doing. Turning off the information/communication venues of a very very dangerous movement.
