It is entirely possible that this theft (there were actually two laptops taken, I don't know who owned the other one nor which office it was in) is a breach of national security. It is very serious. We don't know the ultimate destination of that information.
But the reason Trump should be impeached is because he tried to use a mob to incapacitate a branch of the US government. Not an agency, like the post office or the EPA or something like that, the entire legislative branch over which he has NO constitutional authority!
This was a deliberate and pre-meditated plan to interfere with the constitutional responsibilities of the House and the Senate. It was clearly expected to intimidate our elected representatives and prevent them from exercising their duties.
I think some people posting here do not realize how serious this is, it is a treasonable act. If a foreign power had done this it would be an act of war.
The thefts and the deaths are very wrong and saddening, and those things can be traced back to Donald Trump's actions as well. But the treason is in Trump's intent to disrupt our government ... to bring the work to a standstill or even coerce them and direct their work under threats of violence.
I have hesitated to say this for a while, but it IS possible that any other American who planned such an attack could spend life in prison or actually be executed for it.

That will be the single charge when proceedings begin Monday. Since all the first impeachment proceeding's paperwork is still fresh and could be used, by end of the day the House will have signed an impeachment bill and will send it to the Senate.
The Senate iw more likely to convict now than it was the first time, but I'm not positive-suren Trump will be convicted.
It will be a close vote this time either way, but my gut says Trump will be convicted. I don't trust my gut like Donald trusts his, however.
That vote will happen Tuesday or Wednesday. If he's convicted, Trump's Presidency ends at the moment of conviction.
If Nancy's laptop was really stolen, it would take a few minutes to track it. All official devices like that have a tracking chip.
