I thought about this after reading some things in another thread...if you are someone who believes what happened at the Capitol was an act of sedition, and/or that Trump had a hand in it (either directly or indirectly)...it must concern you greatly that the Secret Service is STILL protecting Trump?

I know most law enforcement officers take an oath, part of that is to defend the Constitution....(Im not sure if the Secret Service take this same oath though?) Im assuming they do...

If they do...the fact they are STILL protecting Trump...does this not make them complicit?

Whether Trump was behind it or not is subjective without proof. Just because politicians get on CNN and say he was the reason why it happened does not mean it's true. Now, did he hiddenly say that? Maybe but his words never literally said take over the Capitol. This is why people can get away with stuff on how they use there language.

Trump personally said that he loved these people though, I believe he made some other comments to that effect as well. This is pretty significant imo.

If someone TRULY believes Trump had a part in it...THEIR tax money is now going to protect him.

No. Their job is to protect him. Period. Until ordered otherwise.

It'll be up to prosecutors to determine if he did anything illegal and if so prosecute.

The SS will probably still have to provide protection if they do unless congress removes it.

You need to stop acting like the SS is some random job like 99% of Americans have. They are the best of the best when it comes to that. Think basically Navy Seals protecting the President. They are trained to follower orders and follow strict protocol. And what the news agencies say really should not phase them or they wouldn't be there.

Im not referring what the media is saying, Im talking about what Trump has PERSONALLY said in recent days.

I also dont consider the SS to be some random job like most of us have, their job is VERY important, as is everyone in the US Govt...what they do is VERY important and significant!

If you believe all that stuff you appear to be a moron.
But then you are no more a moron than Nancy Pelosi and Adam Schiff. So you've got lots of company.

The secret service doesn't take orders from the President without operating within protocol. They have a job to do that is not only well defined in what, but also in how. They are not to judge the President's actions except in very specific situations... like the arming of nuclear weapons where it is known that the President is not at full capacity... and even then, it has to be 100%... not just a hunch.
