That's not true.

That’s between the family of the officer and the President. I don’t sense that one of you here really cares about the feelings of this man’s survivors anyway. You just want to continue your endless heaping of verbal abuse upon Trump. Well I’m not stopping any of you. I’m simply injecting some reality into your latest froth here.

What do mean that’s not true? The President has the power to choose when to lower the WH flag, and only rarely is it lowered.

White House flag at half-mast. The flag on the White House is never flown at half-mast except upon the occasion of the death of the President of the United States or an ex-president. But the rule has been broken as can be seen by this picture with th

He can order it for any reason and you know it. It's been done as a sign of respect for many who weren't "high ranking dignitaries", which is a completely ambiguous term anyway.

You defending his not calling the officer's family too? The dead officer was a big trump supporter.

Yes, the President has the authority to have the flag lowered, that is the point being made.

He is not lowering it for a fallen officer who lost his life, defending the Capitol.

Would you just look at yourself? Deflecting. Spinning. Making excuses. Poor trumplettes are like abused dogs, can’t understand that their master finds them disdainful, will never take care of them, will beat them regularly & they’ll still look at them & think “one day you’ll love me, one day”. Pathetic.

I do care about the officers family. Trump isn’t the least bit presidential. So oblivious of the standards social graces. Had he been presidential during his time he would be celebrating his win for a second term. The man is devoid of any feelings outside himself.

I am not “defending” a damn thing here. I am offering some information on the protocol for flag lowering.

It’s sad that you are incapable of simply accepting information because you are so full of hatred.

I offered a link from the Library of Congress on official protocols. Read it or don’t read it - up to you.

The fallen Capitol Police officer was a Trump supporter in 2016, per news articles about people he worked with in 2016.
