I'll tell you why: they (the left) are repeatedly kicking anyone not in lockstep with their social engineering project in the walnuts. The reason they are doing this is to provoke violence and rebellion. The reason they want violence and rebellion is for an excuse and optics. They reason they want an excuse is because they would like nothing better to begin killing, jailing, or forever silencing non-believers. The optics they hope to garner is, for those who are undecided between authoritarian collectivism and liberty, the "knight in shining armour" coming to save the day and put those nasty libertists in concentration camps.

Make sense? (possible answers: yes, if you have a brain; no, if you are brainwashed and/or blind)

Logically speaking, there is absolutely no viable reason to impeach a person that will be gone in a few days. None.

You will never get the votes in the Senate. Just a bunch of hot air. So Congress will impeach him. In the Senate maybe if you are lucky you get 60 votes. Still not enough. Wake up from your impeachment dreams Democrats!

This needs to be added to the mix. Time after time many who supported Trump did so with the rational that once he became President his inciteful rhetoric would tone down leaving him more "Presidential." This never happened which many of us said would be the case. More power only gave him more inclination to say whatever he wanted with a following that always made excuses for it. Go back and watch the clip of him using his arm as a gun pointing it at the camera and making his statement about shooting people on 5th Ave and getting away with it.

The 25th Amendment is what makes the most sense and should have happened a long time ago. It's late in the day for any action which should have occurred before this mob attack which left people dead. Anyone who thinks he cares about his followers only needs to look at how he threw Pence under the bus with no concern for his welfare at all.

The Democrats are doing the Republicans a favor if he actually gets impeached because it really is better for the Republicans at this point if he simply goes away we don't want him on the talk show circuit (Belling out of Milwaukee is a more knowledgable talk show host than Trump would ever be) we don't want him running as an independent in four years splitting up the Republican vote.... You have to think long-term strategy here and of course Democrats never do. Neither do most Republicans for that matter which is why everybody wants their pork and their stimulus....

Let them go for it....Impeach him, even after he is out and it will show how mad dems are at trump. That they are willing to waste all that money to impeach someone who is no longer there.

But hey, keep it up anti-trumpers.

Partially to ensure Trump can't run for President again in 2024. Though IMO his chances to get anywhere with that are about a snowball's chance in hell at this point.

I'd also think perhaps it could be to head off any attempts on his part to declassify and release documents that contain damning information about Deep State members ( this would include both sides of the aisle), or to pardon people like Julian Assange, Edward Snowden that could blow the information they have wide open.

Or perhaps out of pure malignant hatred and spite for the man.

Or all of the above.

Unless you have a way of bringing John McCain back from the dead, that ship has sailed.

Me? I like Presidents who live in reality and don't incite jihadists to overthrow the government because they can't put their big boy pants on and accept that they're not as beloved as their echo chamber leads them to believe.

No, it does not. Alan Dershowitz spoke to this yesterday.
Dershowitz Dashes Democrats' Impeachment Hopes

“The case cannot come to trial in the Senate, because the Senate has rules, and the rules would not allow the case to come to trial until, according to the majority leader, until 1 p.m. on January 20th, an hour after President Trump leaves office,” Dershowitz said on Fox News' “Sunday Morning Futures.”

He went on to argue that the Constitution doesn’t allow the impeachment of a former president.

“And the Constitution specifically says, ‘The President shall be removed from office upon impeachment.’ It doesn’t say the former president. Congress has no power to impeach or try a private citizen, whether it be a private citizen named Donald Trump or named Barack Obama or anyone else,” he said.

Take away his perks, oh heck yeah.

Please let him not continue to get Secret Service protection.
It will be the Democrat led House of Representatives that will be disgraced for twice engaging in this reckless and baseless abuse of power.
