It is really no different then americans in 1776. The misconception is that most were for the revolution. Not at all. A third wanted to revolt and a third wanted to stay loyal to england. The other third really were on the sidelines except many of those got payed to soldier in the revolution.

Depending on your state of affairs one side mY be more desirable.

In any event ukraine is basically comming out of a civil war.

Thanks to Victoria Nuland and other US-backed destabilization. That's why Trump was right to fire the insubordinate ambassador.

And trump was totally wrong in trying to pressure the ukraine prez into announcing an investigation into biden. That was criminal
