During his first appearance at a federal courtroom in Phoenix, Angeli's public defender Gerald Williams told the judge that he had not eaten since he was taken into custody because he is on an extremely restrictive diet consisting solely of organic food, believed to be for religious reasons.
Judge Deborah Fine said the claims were "deeply concerning" and ordered Williams to find a way to accommodate the 33-year-old's demands.
"We will abide by the judge's order," David Gonzales, U.S. Marshal for the District of Arizona, later confirmed to ABC 15 Monday, adding Angeli will be provided food to meet his organic diet.
He can get on a prison work farm detail and get all the vegan food he wants. They eat grass and dirt, right?

As a matter of fact, it would be. If a person wants to enjoy things like free choice of what diet they consume, they shouldn't be behaving in such a way that results in that person not having access to them.

If he was getting no food or something like that, it would be one thing. Not getting your food preference of the nature he is wanting is quite another. This is not a human rights abuse.
You might want to actually educate yourself on the subject. International human rights laws generally do require that prisoners be fed food that is acceptable given their particular religious beliefs and dietary needs. The United States is quite backwards when it comes to following such though one expects that from a country that kidnaps the citizens of other countries and transports them to places where it's safe to torture them. The left has been talking for 4 years about our country losing some of its standing and respect in the world. Well it wasn't simply Trump causing that.
