Law and order should be kept. Without a doubt. I've got zero issues with that. Again, have the National Guard there, again like in 2017.

The “hoards” did not stormed the capital, but let’s just ignore that.

I hope heads roll anytime protesters cross the line, wherever the hoards come from. Anyone still have objections to using the National Guard, tear gas, or mass arrests for protests that turn violent?

First the right wingers downplayed the virus, now they are trying to downplay the insurrection.
Projection and deflection, it's what they do.
So very predictable.

There will be a peaceful transfer of power no matter the situation.

If the militia mob had succeeded with what some think they wanted to do which was to take hostages, seize the boxes holding the electoral votes and demand justice guess what the process would have still played out elsewhere and Biden would have been confirmed.

Trump's inauguration was peaceful as will be Bidens BUT the sentiment from the crowd and the underlying mood of the nation was anything but peaceful. The question is how will the marching protesters that we saw in 2016 be compared to the protesters that we will no doubt see on January 20th. Of course marching and shouting slogans with celebrities threatening to leave the country and some threatening to blow up the White House is one thing and violent clashes with the Police are another.

The bottom line is that there were millions of People in 2016 that were not happy and they did their best to sabotage and "resist" everything Trump while there are millions of People today that are not happy and hopefully they will voice their anger without violence. The thing is, the difference between the mob of 2016 and the mob of 2021 is that the Democrats have normalized violent political protest.

Some seem to have selective memory and believe the transition from Obama to Trump was peaceful. Above are some examples of why they are wrong.
It was a peaceful transition between Obama and Trump. I watched the inauguration. Hillary attended, Obama attended and respected the votes of the people.

You can have protests and still have a peaceful transition of memory

Honestly both the 2017 Inauguration and the 2021 Inauguration are relatively peaceful in my mind. 2017, Russia, our enemy for decades stole the election and placed a Hitler like man in power, what did the left do? Not much. 2021, corrupt Americans stole the election and placed a compromised by China man in power, what did the right do? Not much.

These both are pretty big claims. Not small things.
