Is it me or is it somewhat off putting Kamala Harris' constant use of the name Joe when referring to President Elect Joe Biden?

I'd prefer his full name or previous title (VP) or Mr. Biden or President Elect or President. But Joe? It's just too informal IMO

it depends.

1. you're a Democrat that is concerned at the slight to decorum. Or...
2. you need new hobbies/more important concerns

personally, I have always thought calling him "Vice President" instead of "Former VP" to be odd and probably confusing for the less-intelligent among the citizenry.

Kind of like how the Soviets talked about kind ol Uncle Joe Stalin in a more personable fashion. Never mind that he was branding your neighbors on both sides as enemies of the state, and sending them off to the gulag. Ol uncle Joe loves you. He would never hurt you... Would he?... Of course he would. Joe Stalin killed far more than Adolph Hitler ever got a chance to.

I don't like it. It feels disrespectful to me, but that's because I'm older. It probably sounds fine to someone who was born after 1980.

I’ve heard “Joebama” recently. It’s kind of catchy.

They've spent 4 years pretending to ignore that Donald Trump is President Donald Trump. Hard to break established habits.

"Mumbles" is more endearing.
