Would rather they did their job when small businesses were hurting due to the shutdowns.

Republicans thought the Clinton trial would hurt him. It didn't. People thought it was a trivial thing to impeach him for. He lied under oath about having an affair with a young intern.

Democrats are just making it up as they go along. Fictional charges. Fictional rules. Makes Monica look really serious by comparison to anyone without TDS.

Maybe.

Of course, Trump may be facing charges having nothing to do with these impeachment charges. If he gets convicted of a felony, he won't be able to hold office ever again anyway.

What you hear in the media is all but a complete lie. Some are telling the truth, most are not.

The medias spreading of disinformation and distortion is ensuring that the situation will only get worse. There's now a lot more people who were on the fence now for trump.

How did he even run a second time if he had already been impeached , anyway?

If it passes. Then they will vote on that he cannot run for office, any office again. Which he wont. Four years from now he will be thought of like the Ford Edsel.

There were special pens for Clinton's impeachment too. Seems like it's a stupid wasteful thing in general. Just pass out normal ol' pens.

It probably hurt Al Gore in 2000 if not Clinton directly. Newt Gingrich energized the conservatives and those conservatives voted for Bush in high enough numbers for an electoral college win, on a moral values agenda.
Meanwhile Gore wasn't able to rely on campaigning with Clinton.

Four years from now he will have bankrupted again, be a fixture on OANN for ratings and quite possibly incapacitated due to health.

That's my prediction.
