"If approved by vote, the rules package would not prevent the use of gendered language, but would rename certain official language. Included in the changes, the Office of the Whistleblower Ombudsman would become the Office of the Whistleblower Ombuds."
I'm all for the "ombudsman" becoming "ombuds", because I'm all for women to continue to gain positions of leadership.

Apparently leftist beacons like Alabama and Texas have similar language adopted in their legislatures, anyways If anyone really can't say the word "father" or "dad" or whatever I guess we'll find out really soon?

Included in the changes, the Office of the Whistleblower Ombudsman would become the Office of the Whistleblower Ombuds. It would also make steps towards diversifying witness panels at committee hearings and framing legislation through the lens of inequity.

Are you one of those people that gets mad when someone uses the term "guys" when referring to both men and women?

It's meaningless and a waste of time and plays right into the rights hands. We have a pandemic going on and people writing this kind of crap up....you have to be tone deaf to not realize how petty this comes across. It's like college feminist club got to decide what the House's priorities are.

So not as dramatic as the OP suggests.
The terms listed would not be allowed to be used when writing bills or documents.
This will become the official written language of the House.

Of course they exaggerated it, but it's woke nonsense and should be something put into place when we don't have far more pressing problems.
