It's actually co-opting Trumps "made in America" ideas which were something more people should have and probably could have embraced, if he wasn't so busy generating liberal tears and giving the lulz to his dopey talk radio fan base.
These kind of stimulus measures have kept Australia afloat during the pandemic and have averted certain economic catastrophe that would have been disastrous had they not been implemented. It will help all Americans, even those who are against it.
"Thank you Trump for the $2000 ." It will help alleviate the higher gas prices , higher taxes, higher heating oil costs and higher food prices that Biden will bring us for the next 4 years.. not including the huge hit in the stock market in the future.. We will be in a deep hole with Biden.

Stop right there. The PPP was written and approved by both the House and Senate.
They ALL knew what was in that bill and by the very definition of what they thought a small business was ended up with the likes of big chain restaurants, banks and even the Catholic Church getting tens of millions of dollars.

Soho House..a private club got $22 million
10,000 Catholic Churches applied and got nearly $10 million EACH
Pelosi's husband got $1 million
Major restaurant chains got it. PPP had a loophole that let chains use individual restaurant employee head count to keep it under 500 to qualify.
The same people that wrote the last bill will be writing the next bill. Just who do you think will be getting the money ????
i had not read about catholic churches.
Will have to tell our priest. We are having to hold hamburger sales etc to make ends meet. People are not attending mass. And since catholics do not tithe - if they don't go, they don't donate. Well some do. Bad on the ones that do not. Our own fault of course.
