I think he should.

First, I think that there are a substantial amount of liberals who are perfectly willing to put aside facts and due process to "Get" Trump.

And as bad as that is.. for the country it is not good.

- charges against Trump would anger at least 1/2 the country.
- charges against Trump would set a precedent that other presidents can be arrested by the incoming opposition team.
- charges against Trump would waste time and money when we have bigger concerns to concentrate on.
- A pardon would end it, end all talk, end all speculation... and allow the USA to heal a bit and get back on concentrating on solving MORE IMPORTANT ISSUES.

IMHO a true leader would do this.

Anyone who thinks Trump will end up in jail is in dreamland.

He'll spend his days playing golf with the Bushes and the Clintons and Obama.

It's a big club, and we ain't in it.

It seems like most of the arrests now from the Capital are BLM, Supreme Court Justice (democrat) kids, CNN journalist and Antifa...

The liberals are not out to get Trump, Trump has incriminated himself by his actions. The call for unity by republicans is as phony as the hair dye that melts down Rudy's face, they just don't want to face any accountability for their lies that led to January 6th.

No.

The investigations currently facing Trump are from NY state, so a federal pardon is useless anyway.

No need for a pardon. He hasn't done anything wrong - or at least, nothing any worse than most politicians.
