With all of the things going on that need to get addressed these types of things are way way down the list in terms of priorities. I can pretty much bet that if you went out and polled people and asked them what the top ten hot items Congress needs to address are, I'd be hard pressed to think that these type issues would make said list.
It just goes to show that politicians do whatever they want, promise the world til they get elected then it's to hell with what the voters want.

I usually don't care what other people do as long as it does not potentially impact me. But I do think this is a strange issue to tackle on day 1, and I think it will hurt women's sports as it's inherently unfair for a biological male to compete against biological females in many sports. I also worry about locker and restroom use in schools.

I should clarify that it’s more than just me. I do care when the rights of others are violated. But I don’t see anything as egregious as your example here.

Some companies that believe they are evolved have listed on their job application "your gender":

non-binary
other
transgender
So, logically, there is no way that an "other" or transgender male to female TG should be able to select "women sports" to compete in college, HS, or pros.
To be fair, there are some transgenders mtf that look exactly like a 100% born female & should be allowed in women's bathrooms for their safety. They've probably been doing this already before the law anyway. They never truly needed it.
BUT Not Biden's National Health Secretary, Patricia, a transgender from PA. To me, this man is a national embarrassment to our country, kind of like Bruce Jenner. And they thought was Trump was embarrassing. Sure Patrick may be well-qualified but if you've lived 30-40+ years as a man, now you're a woman?
C'mon, a deep voiced 50-or 60-something man wearing a gray wig does not make him a female (Patrick) and should not be allowed in women's bathrooms period. The same for Mr. Jenner and anyone else like that.
In my opinion since we are on a forum, I make exceptions for true gay men or women under 21 (give or take a few years) who have obvious long-standing feminine qualities and have changed their sexual organs. Some do look very pretty & act just like a woman. Don't ask me....there is a story but it's not like the 2nd Hangover movie.
As far as sports, they need their own category to compete in since they have their own category with some of the self-proclaimed evolved companies.
