He went about most things all wrong, let Trump be Trump they say. His divisiveness is one of the things that did him in, he didn't even try to unit the country, and it hurt him. In the end, he have done more harm than good, and the country is more divided than ever. Every hate group, was well represented at that so called stop steal rally. And the lie that the election was stolen is going to hurt him more when all is said and done. He had a chance and he blew it big time, what a hell of a way to end it all.
Assessment is obvious. His legacy is anger and hate, a non American divider.
A failed president who lost his re-election, impeached twice, ranks lower than any other former president, and tried to get his branch of government to over turn another branch of government, lost the popular vote twice, and was desperate to compare himself to being superior to one of the best presidents in history...Barrack Obama.
It's done and I"m not going to bother reading the article. It was a great experment that didn't really work. Knowing what I know now, I would have rather seen Chris Christie or John Kasich in '16 get the nomination. However i think either one of those guys would have lost to Crooked Hillary. And for those of you who have followed my postings on here, you know my long time opinions of Hiillary. Which brings me back to saying Trump was the right guy at the right time in that year. Maybe he should have just declared victory and gone home for 2020 and let Pence run. Because it was pretty obvious that the establishment threw everything they had at him and wasn't going to let him win.
