Jeff, a couple of people I know who do not regularly file taxes or didn’t have a bank account on file with the IRS have also not received their checks. And they also show on the website as mailed earlier. But USPS hasn’t been so reliable lately.

I received the first one very late. They had my address wrong even though website has it correct. I had to call several times and wait long time before I can get to a human.

I got all of mine for my family a week and a half or so ago via direct deposit. My mother-in-law is waiting on hers to arrive by mail and it says it was sent on the sixth, but nothing has arrived yet.

Jan 04, direct deposit. I think we got a direct deposit this time because we paid Sept quarterly estimated tax by electronic check from bank account.
The CAREs, $1200 was sent by mail, late June 2020, iirc. We received 2019 tax refund by check.

I have not been "stimulated" by Uncle Sam, but I know at least 4 or 5 people at work who did receive their $600 weeks ago.

Last year the IRS direct deposited the other stimulus check immediately. I was one of the first to receive the $1,200. The IRS obviously screwed the pooch on this one because nothing changed. I've had the same bank account for about 35 years.

They say that if Uncle Sam failed to stimulate you by Jan. 15th, you are supposed to claim the stimulus check on your 2020 tax return. You'll get your tax refund + $600 if you fill out the form correctly.

How much do you not have to earn to receive a stimulus check?
