It's going to upset people that conservatives and true republicans don't side with Trump supporters and rinos on whether Trump provoked the thugs that attached the Capitol building. Long live the Republican Party.

What's interesting between this article/post than others you might find on this forum (warranting a separate post), is it contains an interesting overview of the republicans in the Senate.

I'm sure most won't read the actual article and comment here

I would like to see proof that Trump provoked the idiots, McConnell won’t stand on his own convictions, but parrot any president while they’re in term and kiss their behind. He acted loyal to bush, Obama, Trump and now Biden.

It's going to be interesting if he votes to convict and can get 16 others to go along with him. I think they should hold on to the article of impeachment for a few more weeks so that they more time to get more info from the intelligence agencies released to the public. If more info like the New Yorker video comes out, there may be more Republicans urging their senators to convict.

Mitch did what anybody in his position would have done: used a useful idiot like Trump for all he's worth and then dump him the minute they're no longer useful.

I hate Mitch Mcconnell, but credit where it's due: he played Donny like a fiddle.

Definitely worth it to save the Republican party from Trump rinos. I don't blame him for the CYA approach. Conservatives don't want to be even remotely connected to Trump.
