It's a waste of money, but there's no point in spending money to tear it down. Like all the other administrations, they were doing catch-and-release and not doing employment verification. If business community wants illegal immigrants, it doesn't matter whether the administration is Republican or Democrat.

How is the wall a waste of money when it's been 90% effective in deterring illegal entry? It's been the Democrats that have been fighting e-verify to stop the employers, not the Republicans. Besides, not all illegals are coming here to work, thus the wall. Most employers do follow the law on hiring practices those who don't are among the minority but they must be stopped! Better to deter as many illegals at our border then to allow them to get into our country in the first place. Many work for cash so e-verify won't stop that anyway.

Donald Trump potentially illegally diverted billions of taxpayer dollars to build a border wall. On day one of taking office, Joe Biden will end the waste.
Joe Biden is moving America forward on all fronts. There will be no more vanity projects and waste of taxpayer dollars on bogus campaign props. The halting of the wall construction combined with the unveiling of a comprehensive immigration proposal is a loud and clear signal to the American people that the country is moving forward with real policies governed by a presidency of substance.
As the nation faces multiple crises, it will have a thoughtful, empathetic, and results-oriented administration. It is time to look forward, not back, and Joe Biden will replace the frivolous with substance and chart a real path for America’s future.

I'd rather they spend that money on some high tech satellite that can detect border crossings, then dispatch border patrol to handle it.
Ugly or not it has been 90% effective where the good walls have been built and the Border Patrol says we need them as they help them do their jobs more effectively. We already tried so-called high tech and it failed on it's own.

You may be able to convince yourself that illegal entry through the unguarded Southern border is not a problem, but those of us who have seen the problem know better.
The Wall is a good idea, and its construction will probably continue. We remember back when Obama/Biden was going to "close Gitmo", which is still in operation.
