With a new, liberal administration in place, I wanted to gauge the forum to see the appetite for new gun control laws.

We have tens of thousands of gun laws on the books, but as usual, when a Democrat takes office more are proposed.

Biden talked a lot about many new gun laws, even possibly confiscation of certain types......but remember: he had to win a primary in which the contest was to out-woke one another. I'm not sure Biden himself even believes a lot of what he had to say to win.

So what are your thoughts? Do we need new laws? Less? If more, name some and why they would be beneficial.

Poll incoming as well...

Actually we need to see a reduction in firearms restrictions, both at the Federal level, and the state. At the state level we some states with just absolutely crazy restrictions.

What should be done, is more effort put into mental health awareness, and teaching of our children that violence, is not the way to solve problems.

The riots over the summer showed that people need firearms to protect themselves when politicians tell the cops to stand down. I used to be for some gun control measures, but not anymore.

Mental health awareness = methheads that cooked their brains. Round them up and put them in concentration camps.

Not the same. They are more powerful weapons than the ones they want to restrict.

A summer of riots and political intimidation campaigns followed by the current volatile and uncertain political climate have created millions upon millions of new gunowners, many of whom never thought they'd own a gun in their lives. States can barely keep up with new CCW applications. Finding ammo these days is like panning for gold. As far as I can tell, America's appetite for gun control is lower than it's ever been in my lifetime.

But crazily, MANY of those people probably ALSO voted for Biden.

Many gun owners will simply shrug their shoulders if new gun laws come about.

Make no mistake: These next two years may be the only opportunity democrats have in a while to pass gun laws. THEY WILL TRY, regardless of how many new gun owners there are.

Nothing will change at the federal level America loves it's guns, doesn't matter who is in control. It's kind of like the weather, everyone talks about it but no one will do anything to change.
