I agree with OP. Gaga sang an strange arrangement that NO ONE is ever going to cover. I don't want to hear it again. It has weird stop/start phrasing and changes from 4/4 to 3/4 time signature. Her outfit proves this performance is more about her, not about America.
The Russian signs in a beautiful style that Gaga can also sing like, but she chose not to. It's horrible.
