I was happy all day for the first time in weeks.
I thought it might be just me, so I began calling friends the next day to learn how they felt.
They were happy too. Everyone I called was happy.
The general feeling was a weight had been lifted off all our shoulders. It wasn't the giddy happiness so many folks felt when Obama was elected, but it was definitely a good feeling.
Like there was an adult in charge again in the White House.

And all without a single genuine piece of racism to be found.
Just the unceasing cries of "Trump is racist, Republicans are racist, cops are racist" over and over, who cares that actual evidence doesn't bear it out.
Well, Biden HAS ben stressing that this cabinet pick is black, that one is Hispanic, etc. etc... and that's frequently the only "qualification" he and the rest of the Democrats ever mention about them. So, yes, there HAS been some racism evident in the last month or two.
At least with Obama people liked him, he was the first African American president. You knew he won legitimately destroying McCain.
This felt more like a funeral
The funeral was for the Trump Era and its destruction of what made America great. Like the mythological Phoenix, our country will quickly and steadily rise again, from its ashes.
I see a lot of Biden supporters haven't moved on. They are in here 24/7 still bashing Trump and his supporters. What's up with that?
THEY are just visiting. If they stop hating, they will have nothing.
