These are political appointments which will be replaced with other political appointments. This has been going on since the very beginning of the US.

That's 100% true. Trump appoints people who will do his bidding and that's why he appointed Adams and Adams did just like he was told, he never contradicted or challenged Trump no matter how wrong he was.

Seems to me that during the Trump administration I kept hearing "elections have consequences"

I suppose I shouldn't be surprised that hypocrite Trumpers think that is supposed to only go in one direction of course
