Trump was not fiscally conservative enough for me to support his party, period. I don't want pumped up asset prices with a bunch of raging bullish retards posting on the stock forums about nasdaq 30,000 and irrationally exuberant emotional gambling type behavior... he campaigned on the markets being a "bubble propped up by fed stimulus" and then did more of the same when he got elected. He wasn't the swamp drainer his base thinks. He did some good things but going against the swamp creatures? Not nearly far enough.

I made plenty of money, closing in on retirement levels (I'm not going to fight the fed) but I'm a fiscal conservative and don't believe in any of this irrationally exuberant behavior when it comes to handing out money. I would rather have made less money and stuck to principles. He doesn't have my support.

Good point, Obama is worth more than that. Talk about gullible minions.

That may have been the function of Trump, right from the beginning. He has performed a major public service, not just to liberals and democrats, but to everyone in our country.

The real power of a viable third party and their focus should be on local races and Congressional seats, eventually becoming contenders for Senate and gubernatorial roles. State legislatures have power over state laws that more directly affect the constituents, as well as election laws (ie. District-based or proportional allocation of Electors). A number of third party seats in Congress would force some amount of coalition in order to pass spending measures or to build a supermajority. Maybe the idea of not automatically having one party able to pass legislation will bring back some common sense to what's in the bills.

Eventually with support and a record to run on, a third party candidate could launch a viable presidential race or win endorsement from one of the major parties in exchange for platform influence. If running on his own, someone popular enough to prevent either party from reaching 270 (by winning a whole state or those electoral changes made in vote distribution) puts the election into state delegations in the House, where owning those seats or participation in coalitions becomes more important.

Just far enough to cost the GOP a few senate seats.

Hopefully he will have his own party, use his own media platforms, creates his own tv channel etc., and rules a country he creates on his own. Maybe he can buy a big island and put a fence up.

Any party formed around Trump will be all Trump all the time.

If Trump dies or completely drops out of politics, the party dies with his departure.

Trump must be the center, the focus, the only bright light in the room always. He won't tolerate anyone else as the center of any attention.

There won't ever be a 'party organization'. The party will be one man only. No one else will ever have any leadership position.

So the Patriot Party will be like an annual flower.
As long as the center of everything lives, the plant flowers. When the roots die in the snows of November, the rest of the plant dies too.

If he is smart, they will have conservatives run against and try to primary moderate to liberal Republicans within the two party system. They can call themselves whatever they want, so long as they run as (R's).
If they run 3rd party, they will be slaughtered and also cause the (R's) to lose, thus giving the (D's) even more control.

Keep in mind it is exactly what Bernie Sanders and the "Justice Democrats" have been doing for a while. They know they cannot run as a 3rd party whether it be socialists/communists/greens etc.
So they look to primary vulnerable and/or moderate Democrats. That is how we got "the squad" and others elected, all leftist radicals, that pose as Democrats to get elected.

While this video seems to only be about AOC at first glance, the narrator breaks down exactly what the "Justice Democrats" did to get her elected, with video evidence of the founders of this wacko group saying they were going to take over the Democrats from within.
