Hank Aaron, was an athlete. You should compare him to the other athletes. You may not BE a racist, but when you type things like that, you'll have a hard time convincing many that you aren't.
RIP Hank. Hopefully others will respect his accomplishments as an athlete, and not everyone will only see him as a black guy.
By "others" do you mean the Democrats with regard to public discourse?
No, but you can wear that hat if you wish. There are those who cannot pass up a chance to cross the racial line. It makes them feel good to make derogatory racial comments when unwarranted by the context. Regardless of his race, Aaron was a phenomenal player and a sports hero in America. Why use him to finger-point at someone of the same race who you might choose to demean and specifically cite race? One never sees that used against whites so it sounds a bit negatively focused against blacks. I won’t say racist (though it might be) because OP could simply be very jealous.
We know OP and others can’t pass up a chance to throw race and bigotry into every thread as often as possible even when there is no purpose. Hank Aaron was a once in a lifetime sports hero honored and revered by all.
I never expected a thread about Hank Aaron to turn up in this forum. I expected it to turn up in the Baseball, Atlanta, Milwaukee, and Mobile forum (Hank Aaron was from Mobile, AL). Not a peep out of the Mobile or Milwaukee forums.
It should have occurred to me that someone would use Hank Aaron's death as an excuse to make some complaining remarks about Blacks. He went through alot of crap, even death threats. And all some people can think about is how to complain about Black people.
