"The media's role" is to make as much money as possible.
If CNN doesn't make AT&T enough money, they change it. If Fox News doesn't make Fox Corp enough money, they change it. If MSNBC doesn't make Comcast enough money, they change it.

There you are wrong. I know several people personally who were traumatized by Trump. There was no reason for it but they were. They spent four years expecting him to start a nuclear war, a civil war, take away their disablility , etc, etc...
Two people told me now they feel like they can breathe again.
That is the fault of their own, a hysterical media, and a decaying culture.

The relief you speak of is projection on your part, for the media the celebratory occasion is tied into their personal relations with the Biden family, and the hopes the administration will solidify the elite power structures.
You are not part of that club, so don't jump along pretending you are part of the party.
Nope, what you see & hear is relief. The entire world heaved a gigantic sigh of relief when the garbage was tossed out & the adults returned. Pure sweet simple relief. Enjoy it.
