We are right back to Presidents acting like dictators issuing their "decrees." ALL legislation and laws MUST go through Congress. We need to STOP this trend of Presidents just issuing orders without any discussion, public input or legislative action. Either we are a democratic republic or we are a dictatorship. Which is it?
Presidents (short of major emergencies) should ONLY sign or veto BILLS, acted upon by Congress. There should be NO executive decrees or mandates. This has gotten out of hand, like everything from gun rights to freedom of speech - because WE the People haven't put our foot down and stopped the madness.

You obviously haven't paid attention to his record as a house rep or senator if you really believe he's anything but a corporatist
They don't need better skills. IF a person wants to make a career out of retail food establishments, that's there choice and many move on to be managers and even store owners themselves.
But, if someone chooses to stay in the retail food industry, they shouldn't be punished for it because YOU think they don't deserve to make enough to stay off of taxpayer funded welfare services.
Not up to me, the market will determine the price of labor. The market has spoken.
Because everyone deserves to make a living wage regardless of where they live. Y’all want people to struggle so bad.
LOL! Guess what will happen. Stuff like food, clothing, transportation and housing will go up as well, and then these people will be right back to where they started from. Can't raise minimum wage until you first make laws to cap the cost of things, but I highly doubt that is ever going to happen.
The time has come to simply issue every man, woman and child a $40,000 universal basic income, adjusted for inflation each year. And a one time $100k starting bonus, so we can all get a nice start on life.

Price controls have the opposite effect of their intention.

Government mandated, artificial Wage and Price control are extremely destructive to the economy because they don't allow MARKETS to work the way they are supposed to work.
Minimum wage jobs now and back in the day are vastly different.
And yes, McDonald's workers deserve $20 dollars a hr. Have you ever had to deal with customers? You couldn't pay me 100k to deal with the general public in regards to food.
U ever work a retail job? Where you have to clean 8 toilets a night, mop an area the size of a football field. DEAL WITH HORRIBLE CUSTOMERS.
Ever work at a supermarket? Where Karen calls you an idiot because you don't know where a certain seasoning is.
Ever packed bags for 8 hrs straight and came home with $3.46 in tips?
Give me a damn break. $15 dollars is a slap in the face and most of you here are fighting about it. Sad.
Sounds like you are the problem, having so many jobs....

But pumping trillions of dollars worth of liquidity into the stock market and the banking system, that is making the markets work they are supposed to?
