The first amendment, like all the other amendments, is not absolute. You can still be prosecuted for what you say. That was true before. A criminal threat can be treated as a misdemeanor or felony offense. For example:

But we are all entitled to due process and equal protection... under the law. If prosecutors are only going to go after one subset of criminals without a check on it... we don't have equal protection.

If you have seen death threats, or even veiled threats of political violence on social media or online forums, hit the report button to create an electronic trail (and hold moderators/site administrators accountable) and take screenshots with time stamps. You never know when law enforcement may have interest in them .

All I know is that I'm seeing reporters gleefully report that the Trump supporters who rioted are being investigated and arrested. Not so much for BLM and Antifa. Last I heard, I thought Biden and the Dems in Congress thought they were peaceful (Kamala raised bail for them) and that Antifa didn't exist.

Most Americans rejoice when domestic terrorists are arrested. It almost sounds as if you don’t want these domestic terrorists who had our Capitol under siege on January 6 to be held accountable.
