I won't blame the officer. He was most likely defending himself and this is exactly what happened.

Quote:
Next, a Tacoma police car approached the area from Pacific and South 11th Street. Mark said the police unit took back streets and then came into the scene on South 9th Street from the east. Mark heard a siren but not any voices from the car's bullhorn.

"A lot of people swarmed in that direction (of the police car)," Mark said. "They were intending to block him."
I would have done the same thing. He could have been pulled from his car and beaten to death.

The same old tired excuse...'the officer feared for his safety', (in this case, feared the crowd breaking the window glass).

I guess now they will have to ban police interceptor vehicles. They are too dangerous to the public. The beat cops will just take buses, trains and Uber/Lyft to get to the wherever they need to be.

And how is it that you definitively know that the crowd's intent was to only break the glass in the police car??? Please do tell.
