play on words: "regulations" vs "restrictions"

When regulating, you are qualifying the parameters of use. Thus creating a "restriction". Which I am ALL for.

Sorry folks my logic is far simpler. Two hands- most you get is two guns. Learn to be responsible in safety and use. Learn to respect other lives along with your own. Learn to secure them from young ones. Propelling/projectiles at 60 bullets per minute is simply as we say "overkill" when your goal is to deter the person(s) who are perhaps creating a sense of "me against them". Protect your property, sure. Defend yourself, sure. Blast someone into smithereens.....what a mess.

Yes , they do. Banning a type of firearm over looks is silly, especially one that is used less in homicides than hammers, knives and fists. Banning certain add-on components that do nothing for functionality, to aforementioned firearm is silly.

That is not a qualifier.

If someone took your money every time you walked down the street would it be OK if others did it to you as well since if others did itapparently you have no right to it.

It's hard to have intelligent and rational discussions about the Second Amendment when people believe CNN and other lying sources who put up ridiculous images of what an "assault rifle" is on their tv shows or websites and when these people also think there's something hyper-dangerous known as a "fully semi-automatic rifle."

The staggering ignorance of many people concerning firearms is a source of amusement to me, but it is an even greater reason for the media to laugh; the news anchors know that what they're saying through news programs or via news articles is loaded with falsehoods, but because people are naive, ignorant, and unaware, only those who actually know something about firearms can spot it.

Restrictions on guns are the easy (read: lazy and ineffective) way to deal with our problems. Gun violence (or any violence for that matter) is a symptom, not a root cause. The root causes are things like poverty, lack of parenting, addiction, mental health issues. We should focus on making people who are less likely to commit violence with a gun. But that is difficult and expensive. So let's just ban barrel shrouds and flash hiders instead.

Oh yeah, just like China restricts Rights from their Citizens so should all others so we should lose Rights everywhere else because China doesn't respect them.

You are incorrect.

Absolutely. And one can't solve a problem without addressing the root cause (s).
