'After his Supreme Court plan got nowhere, Trump explored replacing Rosen with Jeffrey Clark, a Trump ally who had expressed a willingness to use the department’s power to help Trump continue his unsuccessful legal battles contesting the election results, the people told the Journal.'

Trump's willingness to commit sedition is well documented, along with his attempts to obstruct justice.

Democrats will fail miserably in the Senate, no chance of conviction.
Even the idea of impeaching someone after they've left office is considered completely unacceptable to most Republicans.
Trump will win and celebrate with rallies all year.

Not looking so good if CNN of all places is reporting it. The fact that absolutely nothing has happened in the way of protest since the election (except for the West Coast lefties of course) has given the Republicans the cover to push back on this ridiculous impeachment. Trump left Washington on his own accord and has been golfing ever since. Impeachment is literally meaningless at this point and a waste of time.
