I'm a Catholic who was taught to love and accept everyone as Jesus would do. My problem with some so called Christians is that they use their faith as an excuse for their hatred and bigotry.

I wasn’t there, but I’ve heard. You can Google it if you’d like more info.?

Slave owners couldn't have cared less about their slaves' spiritual beliefs as long as they do their work.

Well you’d be wrong. Maybe you’ve never heard of Kwanzaa, because white people don’t normally celebrate that. Some Blacks are now asking: “Why are we celebrating white people holidays, they don’t celebrate ours?”

Yes it’s a conversation I heard and took part in neutrally. I have no reason to make it up, just to entertain people who are unaware? How arrogant.

If you are a good Catholic, you should not be throwing stones on those you perceive as sinners. Jesus is not going to be happy with you on Judgment Day.

And they weren’t allowed to learn to read “just as long as they did their work“ either. Wow, what a rosey picture you have in your head about it all. They all just got along swimmingly if they would only “do their work”.
You realize they were beaten and forced to do this work, risked their lives to escape “their work”, right?

Lol, are you serious? There is this little thing - separation of church and state. Obviously, they should be removed.

And so, OP, your question is now answered.

I never said they were sinners, not up to me. I just think they are fake Christians. This is my opinion.

The left think in binary terms. That being said they just look at all religion as the same, but how far from the truth that is. I certainly wouldn't compare a Presbyterian to a Catholic for example. Religion varies greatly, but for the leftist binary thinkers, or lack of thinkers, they just blanket it and that is good enough for them.
