{shrug} you apparently didn't get the memo . There was no attempted coup. It was a mostly peaceful demonstration by folks who were merely exercising their constitutional rights. Only a few folks, who may or may not have been ANTIFA or BLM plants, got a little out of hand.
The left set the standards for this all summer long, so you own it.

That's easy. Because they didn't. There were about 200K people there. Almost all of them showed up, let their displeasure with the broken election system be heard, then went home. A tiny group of about 1000 of them broke into the capital, and it is quite clear to anyone reviewing the footage that they had no plan. Some tiny few wanted to lynch Mike Pence. Others no doubt wanted to do some other violent thing. But a huge chunk of the 1000 probably just ended up inside the capital building by following the crowd, just as surprised to get in the building as anyone.
Trump denounced the whole thing. Unfortunately, Twitter and Facebook are controlled by people so hysterically stricken with Trump Derangement Syndrome that they took those posts down.
But since we're applying the bad behavior by a minority to the whole, how do Democrats and Biden voters live with the fact that they rampaged through the country. They burned. They murdered. They raped. They ruined lives of minority small business owners. They did billions of dollars of damage. They tried to attack the White House, intending to burn it down. They tried to burn down churches, and were successful in some cases. They besieged federal government properties. They tore down statues of abolitionists and heroes of the Civil War who bled and died to free the slaves. They declared independence from the United States, a blatant act of treason and insurrection. All Democrats are guilty of this. How do you sleep at night??
Because there wasn't a coup. You libs need to visit countries like Venezuala, Cuba and African countries where a real coup happened. HINT: the military is always involved, not a bunch of rednecks doing stupid things.
